Movewell instructors believe that Pilates is for EveryBODY... post-op, post-injury, pre/post-natal, bodies that have been sedentary, bodies in athletic training, bodies with pain, fat bodies, older bodies… What feels good in one body might cause pain or injury to another.
Most bodies are not "one exercise fits all,” and that is why Movewell has dedicated itself to offering one-to-one Pilates training through Private Pilates Sessions.
Private Pilates Sessions allow your instructor to tailor your workout to your body, everytime.
We understand exercise can be intimidating and often exclusionary, and we want to work with you to show how Pilates can be a positive challenge and meet you wherever you are on your movement journey!

Working out with others can be so much fun! Small groups allow our instructors to provide the individual attention we believe every body deserves.

Instructors
Exercise is not punishment for your body or actions and Movewell attracts professionals interested in sustainable movement and empowered support. Our instructors help clients develop a nurturing mindset toward movement to celebrate our abilities and feel good in our bodies for as long as possible. Movewell instructors continue to learn from our clients - - everyone has something to teach, everyone has something to learn, and the journey is always both ways. Patience Owen
Patience is one of Columbus’ most experienced Pilates instructors, with over 20+ years of teaching experience. After a car accident left her feeling “trapped in her body,” Pilates became a powerful path to healing. Trained by Romana Kryzanowska, protégé of Joseph Pilates, Patience brings depth, precision, and compassion to every session.
Jess Erb
Jess is a yoga teacher and trainer who found Movewell Pilates in 2021 while navigating hip pain and fibromyalgia. Rooted in fat liberation, somatics, and bodywork, her teaching is about joy, vitality, and real goals as opposed to burn, torch and shred. With 13,000+ hours of experience, she’ll meet you where you are and make it fun!
JEN WEIS
After a 20+ year career as a school psychologist, Jen followed her passion for health and wellness. She now teaches Pilates at local Columbus studios and is a Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach, supporting clients in building sustainable habits and feeling more at ease in their bodies.
Amy Picknell
Amy hosts the Movewell Pilates studio as a welcoming space for anyone—clients and professionals alike—seeking sustainable, lifelong movement. After discovering Pilates through personal injury, she returned to the practice as a long-term tool for managing hypermobility. Her philosophy is simple: we don’t need to be perfect to move well and feel good.
